Got to love the 180 man stts

Well nothing interesting really happened in the last couple of days up until today. I ran pretty badly in heads up for a while, but came out about even. Then today I played in another 180 person sit and go, and once again I was able to take it down. I guess I'm running really good in them. It seems like every time I need some chips, someone is able to get it all in pree flop with something ridiculous like Q8, against my AA. I basically played solid, make a couple of moves along the way to make the final table. Once we made the final table this one guy who was a good player, just started demolishing people. I think he busted out all 7 players until we got heads up, where he had a 7-1 chip lead on me. I then grinded away for a bit, and made a bad call all in after the flop will middle pair. He had top pair, but I hit a second pair to double up. The very next hand I hit a set on the flop and he pushed with top pair. I doubled up again and we were even in chips. You could tell he was really pissed, pushing his hands way to hard. Then I had Q7 and the flop came 467. I bet he called. I was pretty sure he had a 5, so when the turn came a 2, I decided to check raise all in. I checked and he moved in. I was pretty sure I had the best hand, as he over bet the pot huge. I called and he had 72. Whoops, but when the river came a Q, I took my second 180 person in the last week, and my 4th overall. I really think when you make the final table you really have to run well or your dead.

I also finished 3rd in a heads up mtt tourney for something like 350. I then went to play live and donated $200 in a cash game, that I couldn't really avoid, with the set up's, and big draws that I missed.

I only saved 2 days from the last couple of days:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/55218 - Ty for playing so slow, as I should have busted here instead of loosing 660. I ended up winning match later on this later on, which is a $200 swing.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/55219 - Not sure if most people fold here, but I though it was pretty obv. It is heads up however a lot of people would make the same bet with 2 pair.

I am also going to play a live $100 tourney tomorrow, which I have yet to do well in, so hopefully tomorrow will be different, I'll let you know............

Back in Town

Well I went to Toronto and St. Catharines for the week. I got to say hello to my family, and goodbye to my uncle Tony who is going to Australia for at least a year. I also played in the golf tournament I talked about, and I guess I was a little rusty to say the least. I shot 81 in the first round which was ok seeing as I finished triple, bogey, double. So being 10 over on the round, I was 6 over on the last 3 holes. I hit the ball really well and was happy with how I played. Now for the second round on Sunday it was a totally different story. I shot my worst round in about 5 years, which was 93. I honestly couldn't hit a shot to save my life. I'm not sure if it was because of getting up at 6:30am two days in a row, but everything went wrong.

After the round we went to St. Catherarines for a couple days, to see Kristen's family. For some reason when ever I go to Krissy's I seem to do really well in poker. It was there that we finished 8th in the Sunday 215 Poker Stars tournament about a year ago for around 16k. I finished 2nd in a $100 mtt there on Christmas break for about 4k. And on the weekend I won a $20 180 person sit and go for $1080 (I will talk more about it below). Before the tournament cash I went on a sick run in heads up. I won about 10 in a row and was above my goal to move up to .50/1.

After the run heads up I played in the 180 person. Throughout the entire tourney I got the money all in behind 3 times. The first time was just sick, and I will explain why I did it below. The second time I got it all in pree with AQ against AK, when we were 4 handed. I really wanted to fold but, I had pretty good odds to call, and it wouldn't hurt me that much. I called and lost. Lastly when we were 3 handed I got it all in pree flop with QQ against KK, and flopped a Q. So although I was lucky, if I hadn't been completely controlling the last 2 tables I would have been out with the AQ hand. When we were on the bubble of 19 players, everyone was playing crazy tight, so I in turn played crazy loose aggressive. I raised every other hand, and improved my stack from 19k to 56k without showing down once. On the final table I continued to play loose, mostly with re steals, that really helped me win. When we got to heads up, my experience really helped, as he clearly hadn't played much heads up before. I completely dominated him and won easily. I think this was one of the best tourney's that I played. It was the first time that I really loosened up late in the tourney when the table was tight, and it really worked well. Here is the disgusting suck out I had:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/54140 - Basically I'm raising any 2 pree here. Now he comes over the top. I raised to 4500, he made it 8000 total and he has about 11500 behind. Now there is 13300 in the pot with our bets, and the blinds and antes. My thinking is that he could have AA, KK, QQ, or AK, AQ, AJ. For some reason I really didn't think he had AA, even though that is what seems reasonable here. But I didn't think so. I had been raising a lot of hands so he would take a stand with a wider range of hands. I'm getting 3-1, and he has 11k behind that there is a good chance that I will get it all if I flop a huge hand. I also thought that there was a good chance that a 10 or 5 would give me the lead after the flop, and if an ace came I could probably bluff him off it if he played it weak. So after the flop he checks to me, and I decide to make my move. Whoops, pretty sick suck out though.

So anyway it was a fun couple of days, and it was my best couple of days in poker for a while this summer. I'm not sure if I'm going to play .50/1, or stick with the heads up and mtt's until I cool down a bit. I will let you know the plan in a couple of days when I figure it out.......

Poker and Golf, I Love It!!

Well I was just in the middle of a solid heads up session when for some reason they are not registering anymore. I guess it's because they have a server restart on PS soon. Anyway I'm getting closer and closer to my goal. I am doing well, and I feel like my heads up game has really improved. It seems like for every time I get all in with the worst hand, my opponent does it 4 times. That feels good, especially because most of the time I play very aggressively (depending on the player), so this will call for a lot more action. I am up about 500 this week from heads up play, buying into some satellites, and mtt's. I also played a $3 rebuy satellite to Sunday's tourney that I unregistered for, and used the tourney $$ to play. I honestly don't think there is an easier satellite in the world then that one, as long as you get get your hands to hold up.

I also played a $60 live tourney, that nothing really materialized in. Within the first 15 minutes I picked up A10, A10 suited, A6 suited, AQ, AK, and AJ. What a card rack huh right? Well I didn't hit the flop, or win any of those hands. Hard not to bleed chips when that happens. I then had QQ and doubled up against Bill Sparks AK. Seems like I end up at his table every tournament I play which sucks because he's one of the best in the tourney for sure. But at the same time I guess it's a good thing because he's the only player that I can seem to win a race against, and basically do that once a tourney. Anyway a couple of hands later I found myself short stacked again, and once again doubled up, this time with KK. Then I got blinded away until I eventually pushed with JJ, and ran into AA. Not disappointed at all, couldn't really do much with what I was dealt today.

I decided today that I am going to go back to Toronto tomorrow for the ES Walker golf tourney, which is basically the club championship at my course in Toronto. This should be a funny read for my parents because I haven't told them that I'm going, and I know they read my blog, and they will probably read it before I tell them. So I'm coming home today Mom and Dad.

I played golf today with Krissy at stone bridge golf course, and I was hitting the ball really well. My buddy from Toronto called me out of the blue tonight and said I should come play in the tourney, so I took it as a sign. It's also good because Krissy wants to test drive some new cars, in St. Catharines, so we will do that on Monday, after the tourney is done.

So I probably won't play much poker over the next couple of days, and therefore won't post in the blog. So I guess I will get back to you on Tuesday........

Not much to say

Basically nothing very interesting has happened in the last couple of days to do with poker. Still grinding it out in the heads up, trying to get enough to take another shot at .50/1. Almost there. I am starting to play in a couple 180 person stt's again. Didn't place today, and busted out of one yesterday in 12th. Also busted out of the $100 live tourney the other day fairly early. Got busted my Myst when my 99 ran into his 67. That's right he made a straight when he pushed in pree flop. Nothing really either of us could do as we were short stacked and he was on the button and I was in the BB. Other then that, not really much to say. I was kind of waiting to right a blog hoping I would have something good to say, but not really. Hopefully I can go on a sick rush today and tomorrow, and hopefully take another shot at .50/1. I might have a session at .25/.50 today also. I will let you know. Here are some hands from the last couple of days:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/50503 - A funny one. I had been betting and raising every hand, on every street, until this one. Nice slow play buddy

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/50504 - Not sure if most people insta call here, but I though it was a tough call. Not really sure what he was thinking, but he almost got me to lay it down

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/50505 - All I can say is wow

That's about it. As I said not really much to say. I will get back to you soon with some good news ;-).....

Close Enough

Well I told you yesterday that I would have a win soon. It wasn't a win but it's close enough. Today I played a another $60 live tourney finishing in 2nd for a profit of $260. It was disappointing finishing in 2nd, but it was still a good outing. I think I played well, not really making any major mistakes. The key hands that I played are as follows:

With the blinds at 10-20 UTG limps in, I make it 100 with AK in third position. Folds to UTG who raises to 550. I fold.

Very next hand UTG raises to 100. I look down at AA and make it 320. Button think for a while looks like he wants to raise, but just calls. At this point I'm thinking he has a big pair for sure either KK, QQ, JJ or possibly 1010. The flop comes AJ5 rainbow. So at this point I'm thinking either he has an under pair to the board, or he hit a set of jacks. There is about 740 in the pot. I think for a while trying to make it look like I hate the A. I bet 700, hoping that he comes over the top, thinking that I don't like the ace. Just as planed he does, I push for 160 more, he calls with KK and I double up about 5 hands in.

Chip leader raises UTG to 100 which he was doing every all the time with random hand, I call with 910 in position. Flop comes 962 rainbow, he checks, I bet 100, he thinks for ever and folds AJ face up.

We get to the final table, there wasn't really anything interesting in between, just a couple of steals, blah blah blah, I don't really remember the rest of the hands in between. Here is the hand that the winner of the tourney will be checking to see what I have. (please post what you had in the hand when you limped raised me and I folded AK) So I opened under the gun when we were 6 handed with blinds at 400-800 to 2200 with Ad9d, and 1 person called in middle position. Flop came AA7. I thought for a while, and I figured he was either drawing to 2 outs, or dead, and I was also 80% sure if I checked he would bet. So I checked, he bet 2500, and I pushed all in for about 3800 more. He thought for about a year and folded 88 face up. Good lay down buddy. I really wish he would have called here because I would have crippled the eventual winner.

Basically I got to heads up without really playing a hand. The hand I went out I raised with J7 on the button and he called out of the BB. Flop came 56K with 2 spades and he bet out 3/4 of the pot. At this point I was pretty sure that he didn't have much of a hand, as he would have check raised with a K. I decided to float, and try and take it away on the turn, I called. Turn came the 8s. This is where I made my mistake as he bet small here, I though I had J, 7, 9,4 as an out, but in reality I was drawing dead as he all ready made the flush, which I should have picked up on. What I was thinking is that he was betting with a 5 or 6 on the flop and following through on the turn. I called with what I thought was 14 outs with more then the right odds to call, river was a J, and he bet small. Right there I knew I was beat, but I had to call for like 8-1 odds. He showed the 10s3s, nice hand. I should have folded to the small bet on the turn, as if I though long enough, it would have become clear that he was betting with the flush draw on the flop, and got there on the turn. Anyway NH sir, and please post in the comments what you had on the limp raise, as I told you what I had on the AA7 flop.

So although it was a second place, it was still a good finish. I'm playing another live tourney tomorrow and I will post and let you know how it went. I'll be back.............

Another Live Tourney

Yesterday I played another $60 live touney, that started with about 25 people. Here is a detailed explanation of what happened.

I got there a little late but didn't really loose any of my stack. I stayed really patient for a very long time, not really playing any hands, and trying to take what the table gave me. It was a really crazy table, so I had to tighten up, not steal as many blinds as usual.

The blinds seemed to got up quicker then normal, so we all ended up short stacked as the tournament progressed. With the blinds at 150-300, and my stack at 2000, I really needed to make a move. I ended up getting the blinds 2 hands in a row with JJ and AA. Not the best thing, but at least I was up to 2900.

I was then moved to another table which didn't look to good, but turned out well. We were 5 handed with 2 players that I really respect at the table. I opened in a pot from the cut off with 7c8c to 800, and got a quick call from the button. The flop came Jh8h6h, and I moved all in for 1300. The button thought for a while and called with 5h5c. I held and doubled up.

A couple of hands later I was in the BB with K7, it folded to the button he limped in, small blind folded and I looked down at K7. Now the button had been player really weak, limping and then folding every time. I was pretty sure my K high was good here as he would open on the button with better then that. I am pretty sure he has some stupid hand like 67 89 ect. I raise to 2000. He thinks for ever, not looking confident at all, and says "maybe a small pair, ok I'm all in". I call the 2000 more as I' m 90% sure I have the best hand, and even if I don't I'm not going to be in bad shape. He shows the JsQs, and I flop 2 pair, and now were at the final table and I'm the chip leader. Being the chip leader does not mean that much however as the blinds are so huge, I have about 11000 as the chip leader and I only have about 18 bb's.

About 3 hands in Bill Sparks moves all in on the button and I have A6 in the bb, I'm pretty sure I have the best hand and I call. He had the 67, so I was in really good shape to eliminate the best player at the table. I held and Bill went out. That was the last good thing that happened to me in the tournament.

One thing that is important to say is that there was about 3 players at the final table that all were horrible and didn't have any skill at the game of poker. They would do things that made no sense at all, including calling off all their chips all the way down with A high, "chasing the A" as they would say. So I didn't want to get out of line raising blinds, and getting into stupid situations with calling stations. So having a big stack here didn't really give me an advantage, other then being able to stay patient and wait for better hands then normal. So after losing about 1800 to blinds after not playing a hand for 2 orbits, I get 55 in second position. UTG limps for 600, and so do I, knowing the UTG is crazy aggressive pushing every other hand that he plays. If I flop a 5 there is a good chance that I win a huge pot. Now it folds to the sb who makes in 2000. This guy was really horrible, and very easy to read. I knew he didn't have a big hand, so after the UTG folded I wanted to play a pot in position with him so I called. The flop came A 10 8 rainbow. He under bets it for 1000, like he always did when he had nothing. I was 99% sure he either had nothing or didn't like the A, so I made it 3500, expecting to take it down right here. He is about to muck, takes one more look at the board and decides to call. Turn is a 9 and he pushes all in for just less then what I have. I fold right away. He shows the JQ, well played donkey. So I loose half my stack on this hand, where I can think of 4 reasons why it never should have happened, and none of them are to do with my play.

So now I'm getting short, and a shorter stack pushes all in from the cut off, and it folds to me in the bb, I was 100% sure it was a steal, and I even said it to him before looking at my cards. I insta called with A10. He shows the J9, and I am in good shape to get the chips back from the last hand. 7 8 4 2 10 was the board and although he had a J or 9 to hit, he ended up hitting a gut shot. Nice. Now I am really a short stack with about 2800 in chips, after 1 limper I pushed all in from the cut off with A7. I get called by AQ in the sb, and the board came 4 K J 10 10, and even though he had me, surprise surprise, he hit gut shot. So I went out in 5th after being the chip leader with 8 people left. I guess that's what happens when the stacks are not big enough, and you can't seem to get your hands to hold. I was happy with how I played, and I think I deserve to win one of these soon, if I can just avoid the bullshit late in the tourney.

More importantly Krissy and I went golfing yesterday. We only had time for 9 holes, as we went at 6:00. Krissy didn't hit the ball as she normally does and she was pretty frustrated. Still managed to make a par in there though. But no hole in one today :-( . I played well paring 7 out of the 9 holes for a 38. We will hopefully get out to play a little more this week. Another hope is that I will be able to take another shot at .50-1 by he end of the week. We will see. I will be back........

Steady

I have been slowly but surely grinding the bank role back up, playing heads up, and a couple $35 6 man turbo stt's. These things are really crazy. Yesterday I played one and we got to heads up after only 12 minutes! Today I played one, and after 40 minutes we still had all 6 players left, which is really weird. Anyway I won the one I played today, didn't really run that well, I think the right things happened at the right time, and I didn't really make any mistakes. Yesterday, I finished second in the one I played and I owe that to running well, and not really playing great. Anyway I am getting closer to taking another shot at .50/1, which feels good. Hopefully I can continue to run well once I make it there. I have some hands that I have been saving for a while, so here they are. Nothing really interesting, mostly just funny hands about some donkey making a horrible move. Which is basically how I make money in this game (most of the time).

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/49018 - easy fold

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/49019 - Pretty big lay down, but I really felt like I had the worst hand here. He either had a 7 or 99, or I'm a donkey

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/49022 - Well played buddy

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/49023 - Played 1500 hands, had AA once and this is how it plays out.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/49024 - Sick call. I don't know why but I really felt like I had the best hand here

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/49025 - Nice call buddy. Was playing this when I was drunk for fun

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/49026 - And this is how I end up winning the tourney against the same guy. Man he is bad.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/49027 - Nice play donkey

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/49028 - Man these people are so bad in these 180 persons

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/49029 - LOL. I can't tell you how good that felt. Worst suck out I have had in a very very long time.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/49030 - Nice call buddy. This is why I make plays with hands like the 10 4 above, so that I can show it and then they never fold hands like this one.

So I am finally going golfing today with Kristen that we have been planning to do for a long time. I will let you know if she gets another hole in one, LOL. I'll be back......

Interesting Tournament

So I'm back from the $60 tourney, and although I didn't place, I thought I played really well, and just couldn't win an all in to save my life at the end of the tourney. Here is a detailed explanation of the tourney from start to finish:

I only think I mis played 1 hand which I will get to later. My starting table really sucked with a really good player on my direct left (Skippy), and also another really good player 2 to his left, Bill Sparks (check out his blog at http://billsparkspoker.blogspot.com/).

So anyway the first major hand I played was 10d7d, on the button. There where 3 limpers, I called, and so did the blinds. The flop came out KJ5 with one diamond. It checked around. The turn was the Qd making me open ended, with a flush draw. The UTG limper bet out half the pot, and I called. The river was the Jd making my flush but pairing the board. He bet out 600. At this point I was 50/50 to weather he had a boat or just trip J's. My problem with folding here is that he is a bad player and I could easily have him. I called, and even before I did, I said boat is good. He flipped over KK, nh sir.

So at this point I'm all ready down to 500. I stole blinds a couple of times, tried floating a guy on the flop, didn't work out, so I stayed at about 500. I stole blinds a couple more times. Then I pushed my button when folded to me wtih 10d5d for 690 when the blinds were 70/140. BB called with 89 and I won.

Very next hand I push with 88, get called by Bill Sparks AQ, and I double up again. I swear to god the only time I win a race is against a friend or a player I really respect ( Bill qualifies for both). So now I'm back in good shape with like 3200.

About 10 hands later someone raises from UTG, and I just flat call with KK. I don't do this a lot but in certain situations I think it it the right move. Here I know he has a really good hand (especially because he is a tight player), and I am probably going to play the hand heads up in position, with a very good chance of stacking this player. To my surprise Bill Sparks pushed all in from the BB. The UTG player thought for a while and folded. Now there is no question that Bill has a very very good hand here. I was pretty sure that I could narrow it down to AA or AK. The reason for this is that I actually had a discussion with Bill about how to play QQ in these spots, and he even has a blog entry about it. He had a big stack behind, and when a tight player raising UTG and UTG+1 calls, there is a good chance that one of them could have a very strong hand, and he would be worried about his QQ being best. UTG and me both have a good stack that would cripple him. So I think Bill would have came over the top, but also gave himself a chance to fold if one of the 2 players re raised again. So basically from knowing Bill and his thought process in this situation, I could eliminate QQ-1010, and narrow it down to AA or AK. I basically made it very clear that I had a huge hand, and didn't think I could lay it down. Bill didn't seem completely confident, and although I wasn't as confident as I normally am with KK, I made the call. Thankfully he had AK, I held and was in really good shape to do well in the tourney. Bill told me after the hand that he didn't think I would flat call with KK, which is another reason of why I do it once in a while. It is very difficult to put me on KK in this spot, and also it makes my hands all the more hard to read in the future.

We merged tables getting down to 20 players, and this is when it all turned to shit. I had 6 all in hands and lost every one of them. I lost AK to A4, K10 to A9, 44 to KQ, Q8 to A6, KJ to A4, and 33 to AJ. On basically every hand except the Q8 (which was the one hand I think I played bad), I basically had no choice but had to get it all in. Every time I was the initial raiser, got re raised all in, and had the right odds to call with my hand. I just got unlucky and didn't win any of them, busting out in around 12th place. The Q8 hand what I did wrong was the blinds were at 150/300 and I raise to 700 leaving my self about 1700. I made this raise to hopefully look like I wanted action, which I had never done prior to this point with a good hand. The bb pushed with his A6, and I ended up calling off my stack. I don't think the call was really that bad as it was only 1200 more for me to call, but if I was going to call anyway, I should have just pushed it all in and put all the pressure on the bb, instead of making him think that he had a chance for me to fold. It probably would have turned out the same way, but still, not the best play in the world by me.

So anyway I was really satisfied with the way I played the touney today, aside from the one mis-played hand with Q7, and I am looking forward to more live tourney's. On a side note after I crippeled Bill down to just 500 chips, he make an incredible comeback and he had over 9k in chips by the time I left. He is in really good shape to do well in the tourney, and lets hope he takes it down. Anyway I'm off to bed, but I will be back tomorrow.........

Starting to win

Over the last couple of days I have been keeping the hours short. Not sure why, I guess I don't really feel comfortable playing right now. I hate bad runs and the effects that it has on my game. I have been running really well in heads up lately being around +500 in about 5 hours. Not bad at all. My role is slowly but surely rebuilding which is a good feeling. I also have started getting back into .25/.50, playing 2 sessions and being down $50 total, with a couple classic set up's that I can never seem to avoid, so I am not too disappointed. I am going to a live $60 tourney tonight at a local club, that I have to go to right now actually. Hopefully I come back with different results then on Sunday. I have a couple hands saved that I will post later, and I will make another post tonight when I get back. More to come.......

Back in Town (fluked all ready)

Kristen and I spent the last couple day's in Montreal with my parents, sister, and some relatives. It was nice to see everyone, especially my parents and sister. Didn't play one hand of poker for 2 days which is the first time in probably a year that that has happened. It was a good break.

Today I got back in town in time to see Italy win which was great. What a moron Zidane is. What was he thinking. After the soccer I went to a live $100 tourney which had about 22 people in it. The field seemed pretty donkey except for a few familiar faces. My table aside from one player, seemed like the table of dreams, but it didn't work out that way. After watching the first 4 hands where middle pair and bottom pair seemed to battle it out for huge pots, I played my first hand. I'm in the big blind and after 4 limpers the small blind goes all in for 1800!! The blinds are 10-20. I'm like wtf, and I look down at QQ. The only hand I was worried about was AK, but I was like 98% sure it was a middle pp, maybe JJ. I call everyone else folds, he shows 99. I hit a set but lose to his flush. Nice. I still had about 700 chips left. 2 hands later I have KQ in middle position, fold to me, and I make it 80 to go. I get 4 callers. The flop comes 9h10hJc. The small blind bets out 200 and I push for 420 more. He calls showing the Jh2h. I also had the K of hearts, but it didn't help as the river was the 6h. Nice. So I was the first one to bust out of the tourney which doesn't really bother me, because if I'm not going to make the money, at least make it fast. The only thing that made me mad was the field was super soft, and it seemed like a good chance to make some money. I came home and played heads up finishing +120, after 5 matches. Not bad. Only one hand saved:

For now I'm taking a break for about an hour but I will be back to play again tonight.....

Finally

I had the first winning day in a while. I played a bunch of heads up matches and ran really bad for the first while, then finally I went on a sick rush and won 8 matches in a row. I also played a couple tourney's not placing in any. I finished the day +150, which isn't that big of a deal, but it's nice to have a winning day for a change after such a bad run. I'm going to Montreal tomorrow, so I probably won't post until Sunday. Only 2 hands from today

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/46242 - Good call buddy LOL.

hopefully the run continues when I come back.......

The run continues

I played tounney's all day yesterday for about 7 hours straight. I think I played in about 10 tournaments, not making the money in any of them. I played in $3 rebuy, $5 rebuy, $50 tourney, $11 touney, $20 tourney, and about 5 $20 180 person's. I think I played pretty well, but probably not my best. I find it really hard to stay at the top of my game when I just can't seem to do well in anything.

After once again having a horrible day losing about 300, Kristen said she would sponsor me in heads up tourney's for half the profit. Great deal for me so why not. I played a bunch and got back to even on the day after splitting the profits with Kristen. The way I do it is like my friend Skippy suggested, playing a $50 4 person, which are better for the rake, and a $50 2 person at the same time so that I don't loose $ on the hourly rate waiting for the other person to finish their match in the 4 person. I can handle the speed fine so this works well. I played a bunch today and ran horrible being down $150, but I will continue later tonight. I think this will be a good way to re build my role, as I have done well in heads up matches. So for the next while I think I'm going to play a lot of heads up matches, and some tourney's. Once I get my role back up, I will take another shot at the cash games. Here are just a few hands from the last couple of days:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/45774 - Good fold you had no odds to call

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/45776 - This was my entire first heads up match in a $20 heads up mtt touney. I win a lot of heads up matches in 1 hand it's really weird

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/45777 - This was my entire first heads up match in a $20 heads up mtt touney

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/45778 - Nothing like picking a guy off for a bluff and calling with Q high and him having K high.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/45780 - These are the hands that you have to be willing to lay down if your going to win these heads up matches. I guess it's a pretty obv fold but I think there is a lot of players that would have called here, and I am 99% sure I don't have the best hand.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/45781 - Maybe this is why I can win in heads up.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/45782 - If you can find this guy sit down with him right away

I will be back with a report on my heads up matches either tonight or tomorrow......

Luck Box

Didn't play any poker today. Just went and played 18 with Kristen and 2 friends. Kristen the LUCK BOX got a hole in one!!!!! Honestly W.T.F is that. I have played for 13 years and got one, and Kristen plays 7 rounds and gets one. What a luck box. I would also like to mention, like I have told everyone, Kristen has had 5 royal flushes and I have had 0. What a rip off. In all honesty though it was an amazing shot and I am sooooo proud of her. But she is still a luck box though.

No poker so far today. I might play some tourney's now tonight like I promised, but I am kind of tired. So either tonight or in the morning but there will be some good tourney results soon I guarantee it.

Anyway I will be back tomorrow......

New Plan

Today I played a live $100 tourney at a local club. out of 21 players I finished 7th, busting out in a race with 99 to AQ, no big deal, was short pushed he called. I was pretty short stacked. I think I played ok except one questionable play I made with A4, pushing all in on the button after a utg limper. I did not think of the limper as much of a player and didn't think he had much of a hand. Nice read, he had KK. Even though I was short stacked (which was why I made the play in the first place as blinds more then 10% of my stack), he had less chips then I did so I was still alive. I then went all in 6 hands in a row, doubling up on the second one and getting the blinds on the rest. I was back in it, but nothing really materialized and I was out. Not too bad though. Krissy finished 5th which sucked as it was the bubble, but still a good showing for her, as she also played well.

As for my new plan I'm going to take a break from cash games and get back into the mtt's. This is where I have made a good amount of money from, and hopefully I can get back into it. I think I enjoy tournaments better, and therefore my game is probably better. Hopefully it goes good, and probably will make for some good blog posts. Anyway so the plan is tourney's, tourney's, tourney's, for the next little while, and then I will eventually get back into the cash games.

Krissy and I are going golfing again tomorrow which will be fun. After that it's right into the tourney's. Anyway I will be back with some GOOD RESULTS for a change, tomorrow ;-). I'll be back.......

I suck

Basically I can't win at .50/1. I don't know what the hell it is but I have lost 7/8 sessions. I don't really feel like talking poker right now. I had a lot of hands saved, but I will post them another night. I'm going back to .25/.50 tomorrow to try and re build some funds. More importantly I'm going to go golfing with Krissy, which will be good as I really need to get out and do something active.

I will be back.....
