UGGHH

I now remember why tourney's can be so frustrating. Today I played in the 55 25k guaranteed. It started with just over 1100 people. I finished in 10th for a whopping $400, which is a little sick when first is over 12k. I really was trying to play for the win though, as this is my new philosophy, apposed to survival. It has worked well and I am going to continue to do it. I have been playing a lot of tourney's, and making is deep in a lot which feels good. It is so nice to be back at PS, after playing at Eurolinx for so long. I think I'm going to take a little break from Eurolinx for a while until the soft where upgrades on Euro, which should be about 2 weeks. When school starts back up I think cash games are better because I can play around my school work, instead of when I play tourney's and have to work my school around poker. So for the next while it's tourney, tourney, tourney.

Will be back after my next tourney win.....

Good Start

Over the last 2 days I have played in about 10 tourney's. $10-$30 range. I have finished 25th twice in the $30 which was gay, had a big stack both times, and set up. Lost QQ to KK on a J high board which would have put me in the chip lead with 24 left. I final tabled a $10 180, finished 6th I think. Then last night I played a $20 mtt, and I took that down for $3700. Felt good to win that, and now I have a little bit of a bankroll to play bigger tourney's. Still not enough, but hopefully i can make it work.

I'll be back tonight when I take down the $109.................

Break Time (sort of)

After having the worst run I have had on Eurolinx since starting there I decided to take a break. I haven't really played much at all the last 2 weeks. Aside from heads up play, and a couple of tournaments on Stars. After playing the tournaments I realized that I play much better in those, just because I enjoy it more. So I am cashing out a bit from Euro and putting it on Stars to play some mtt's. I am definetely going to play under bankrolled a little bit, but no big deal. I will be playing a lot of 180 mans, and the smaller buy in tournaments. Looking forward to this and we will see how it goes. I have dropped back down to the .50/1 on Euro, and it has gone well since. When I make it back up to the 1/2 I am going to try to play a much more solid game. I think playing lose aggressive is the way to beat the .50/1 on Euro because the players play much more weak lose, but at 1/2 the players are much more lose aggressive/ calling station/ cold deck machines(jk). So basically when I make it back up I am going to play a much more tight game and see if that works out.

I will get back to you tonight after I win a couple mtts......

Right Away No Delay

So I just got back from St. Catherines, seeing krissy's new dog. Which is officially the cutest puppy I have ever seen.

While I was in St. Catherines for 2 days, I finished up around $1100 online. I actually ran really bad for a bit, but I managed to crush the heads up cash games so that was good. Then when I get back to Ottawa I play for 20 minutes, and finish down $650. I mean WTF is that!! Here 3 hands, the last one is my fault, probably a little bit of tilt, which I almost never do.

At first glace this hand might seem like I'm a donk, but let me give you a little background. First of all, we have played about 10 hands, and he has pushed all in pree flop 2 times, and after the flop 3 times. So I know this guy is terrible. So if he has the A, I'm about 45% to win, if he has the Q, or 10, I'm a small favorite, and if he has a flush draw or straight draw I'm a huge favorite, if he flopped a set straight or two pair (which is definetely unlikely) I'm still not that far behind. So for his range, I am possitive this is the right call.

I'm on the waiting list for a table, but when I get there I end up heads up with a solid player I know from Ottawa. I try to sit out but it deals me the first hand anyway. I tell him I'm only playing this hand and then I'm gone. On the turn he is obviously trying to tell me he has a huge hand, little does he know he's crushed, but have no fear, I'm in my computer room, which I am convinced is cursed.

I'm obviously a retard on this hand. No doubt about it. I shouldn't have called pree flop, but it's not that bad of a play, on the flop I don't mind my flat call because I think his range is still really big here, but on the turn, when he pushes, the only hand I can see him having, that I am beating, is AQ, and he still has a lot of outs. So most of the time I have 2 outs, and sometimes he has 6 outs. I know this guy is really solid, and would always shut down on the turn without a big hand, he almost never pushes without something huge. So most of the time I have 2 outs, and sometimes he has 6 outs. But because I'm on tilt, and eurolinx gives you like 3 seconds to decide, I end up calling of my stack like a donk.
